The Department of the 4th Dimension is dedicated to exploring the human condition and reimagining what’s possible for audiences of one to a million. An award-winning design firm, content studio, and innovation consultancy, D4D's design-led and story-centric approach has helped clients solve a wide range of strategic challenges, including landmark engagements for entertainment, branding, marketing, and cultural initiatives. The studio's vision of the future has included a tech-infused pop-up perfume museum; a Webby-nominated video series on the everyday impact of science; the rebranding of a university, anchored by a framework for social-impact storytelling; and an AI (NLP) artwork that translates speech into a new language, made live from trending images on the internet. Based in Los Angeles, the D4D was founded in 2006 by Matt Checkowski.
